Operationalising Excellence: Making it Happen – Series of Articles in European Business Review

We are very pleased to announce that the third of a trilogy of articles our CEO, Sean Culey, has written on the subject of ‘Operationalising Excellence’ for the highly prestigious European Business Review magazine, has just been published.

This article follows on from the previous two published in August and November. It is Part " of ‘Operationalising Excellence: Making it Happen’ and Sean continues to discuss how the 7 keys, when aligned and integrated together, can be used to stop the rot and drive profitable, people driven performance that moves a company forwards and creates a culture of continued success.

Sean describes two fictitious companies, ‘Chaos Inc’ and ‘Progression plc’, to illustrate how different mindsets, management practices, attitudes to money and different metrics can create or disable progress. Part II shows how Chaos Inc can use the 7 Keys to stop the rot and develop solid foundations for them to succeed moving forwards.

Director of Finance Magazine Article

Director of Finance MagazineSean Culey, CEO at SEVEN, has recently had an article published in the ‘Director of Finance’ Magazine called: ‘Ensuring ROI from ERP – The ‘Big R, Little i’ Challenge’, where he discusses how some companies resent paying the significant and ever increasing maintenance costs for an SAP system that they feel they gain little value from. As Sean puts it in the article; ‘In the ROI calculation, if you don’t deliver a return - ‘R’ - then the investment - ‘I’ - simply becomes a C – ‘cost’.

Achieving a high return on corporate investment in business transformation initiatives, especially those involving technology, is difficult for many organisations. Many companies are questioning the value they are achieving from their increasing spend on IT systems, especially SAP.

However, some companies are leveraging great value from their investment, and Sean investigates why this gulf exists, and what to do in order to ensure your company gets the most value possible from this investment.

‘The 7 Keys to Unlocking Organisational Greatness’ published in the European Business Review

Are you… faced with challenges of getting your team all pointing in the right direction, working to the same agenda, providing excellent service to your customers and effectively executing your goals?

Since our last newsletter in June, Sean Culey, CEO at SEVEN has been busy writing an article for the European Business Review on this subject. In the article Sean talks about ‘The curse of the 4 M’s’ – Mindset, Money, Management and Metrics. He discusses how the way the people in your organisation approach and think about these four elements can prevent the achievement of goals, and discusses how to address these through developing ‘The 7 Keys to Unlocking Organisational Greatness’. SEVEN has taken this material and specifically developed training courses, materials, tools and techniques designed to aid businesses through these challenges, and to effectively mobilise the collective talents of your team and unleash the capability of your supporting systems to create superior business performance.
